Welcome Back!

Welcome back from March Break!  It was good to see everyone returned safely from their various travels and adventures!  It is also very nice to welcome Nathaniel back - we really missed him!

We have had a very busy first week back!  On Monday, the Grade 5 students, assisted by most of the Grade 4 students, introduced the new Gospel Value of Dignity of Persons by singing the song "Dignified" by Will Wright.  They did a great job!  Four students also received Certificates for the Gospel Value of Faith:
  • For actively participating in Religion and Family Life
  • For actively participating in Masses and Liturgies
  • For actively participating in prayer
  • For treating others as Jesus taught us to do

On Wednesday, students were able to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation individually in preparation for Easter. They were well prepared before hand, having done an Examination of Conscience and reviewed the procedure ahead of time. Thank you to Mrs. Leiva, who ensured everything ran smoothly, and to the priests for coming!

Tomorrow (Friday) is Board Game day for our Lenten Fundraiser. Bring a Loonie or a Toonie and a Board Game and spend a block playing with friends! No electronics, please. Rubik's cubes and other puzzle games are welcome! It is also Earth Hour, we will be turning off the lights, electronics and Smartboard during Board Game block for Earth Hour.

Next week will be Twin Day for our fundraiser - bring a loonie or a toonie and dress like your friends and be twins, triplets or quadruplets!

Parent Council would like to invite you to the Dr. Ian Manion presentation entitled: A Parent’s Toolbox: Mental Health of School-Aged Children on Thursday, April 6 in the school gym from 7-8 pm. See the attached poster: here
