Waste Reduction Week and United Way Events

This week is Waste Reduction Week ( I know, it was news to me, too!).  We are encouraging litterless lunches all week, as well as recycling plastics and paper as much as possible.  Thanks to those who sent in litterless lunches today - great job!

This week has a lot of other things going on as well:
-Picture day is Wednesday - bring your best smile!
-Jelly Bean Guessing Jar for United Way - we have a big mason jar full of Jelly Beans - children can guess how many are in the jar for 25 cents a guess or 5 for a loonie.  All proceeds go towards our United Way Fundraiser and are directed towards the Catholic Education Fund for students in the OCSB.  Guess ballots will be sold on Wed, Thurs and Fri this week, with the winning guess awarded on Friday.
-students wishing to rewrite the math test (or who were absent for the math test originally) can rewrite the test on Wednesday
-Board Game Day for United Way is on Friday - students bring a board game to play against classmates and friends for a block today (no electronics, please) for a donation (we suggest a loonie or twoonie).  Thank you!
-we will continue to work on All About Me, and begin presentations this week.  We were unable to begin today, as the internet was not working this afternoon.  Hopefully, that will be fixed by tomorrow!

Have a great week!
